Tasks founders should delegate first
By Success Mike LLC · October 3, 2026
Founders often wait too long to delegate. A simple rule helps: hand off anything repeatable that does not need your judgment.
Start with these
- Scheduling. Booking and moving meetings.
- Inbox sorting. Filtering email so you only see what needs you.
- Data entry. Updating lists, sheets and records.
- Research. Finding vendors, leads or information.
- Routine customer replies. Answers to common questions.
Keep these for yourself
Strategy, key relationships, pricing and final hiring decisions stay with you. Delegate the preparation, not the decision.
How to delegate well
Write the steps, show a good example, set a deadline and check the first results. Give feedback early. Tasks you hand off well in week one run on their own by week four.
